Argument: The Sept 11 2001 terrorist attacks on America may have a rather conventional political explanation. That is, draw the U.S into a war, mount a propaganda campaign to rouse the “Islamic” masses, and overthrow Saudi Arabia and become the “Fuehrer” of the Islamic world. There are issues about Israel, that the Clinton administration wanted the Taliban to help with an oil pipeline, etc.
